In the spring of 2014 the Honnold Foundation partnered with Elephant Energy to expand their proven model of solar entrepreneurship into the Kayenta Region of the Navajo Nation.

Many of the residents in this area live off the grid with no access to power, and as such resort to dirty, unhealthy fuel sources. Using a holistic approach the project strategically educates users and locals, gets products into the hands of key leaders, and foments a long term entrepreneurship program that will self sustain in perpetuity.

This project was also made possible by generous support from GoalZeroThe North Face, and Clif Bar.
